Tour Details

An event based on Olive Oil, the elixir of life. The production of olive oil on this island goes back to 3500 BC, during the Minoan period. The festival takes place on an old farm located in Sisi Village with panoramic views of the Cretan Sea. During this tour, participants will experience local traditions and enjoy a unique gastronomic and educational trip to the Cretan Nutrition habits.

Be a part of this unique journey, try our local products and learn interesting facts about our culinary traditions and enjoy the famous Cretan hospitality.

Know before you go,

  • We offer pick-up from various points such as hotels and bus stops.

As soon as you complete the booking, we will contact you in order to let you know the exact place and time of the Pick-up which is closer to your place of staying.

  • Passengers are required to bring and wear face masks in indoor places and while traveling by bus, as long as it is requested by the government covid regulation.

 Full Description:

Pick-up: We will start collecting participants from pick-up points. Depending on the place of your hotel/apartment the bus drive will differ.

Bus Drive:30 minutes

Stop: Farm in Sisi Village – 4 hours

Educational Part

Workshop: Olive oil

Learn everything about the old Olive Oil Mill of the 18th century to the Award-Winning ecological Olive Mill of the family.

Workshop: Local Honey

Participants will see how honey is made from local beehives and will learn about the activity of bees.

Workshop: Raki

Learn more about how Raki is produced, the most famous alcoholic beverage.

‘’Rakokazano’’, is not just a process of making raki, it is ritual deeply rooted in Cretan Culture.

Workshop: Soap

Learn how Cretan people make soap from Olive Oil and its important benefits.

 Gastronomical Part

Wine Tasting

Taste outstanding wines from local Cretan grape varieties, distinct flavors and learn all about its production, that goes back to ancient Minoan Civilization.

Homemade Cretan food in Wood Fired Oven:

People visiting the farm will taste authentic local food cooked in the Wood Fired Oven,

The meal includes seasonal greens, fava beans, French-fries as a side dish, salads from the ownersgarden accompanied by a wide variety of appetizers. All dishes based on olive oil.

Live Show

Spend a joyful night like a Cretan, dance in Greek rhythms and enjoy out wonderful orchestra and dancers.

Local Products Market:

Participants will have the option to buy local products of high nutritional value and quality that they have already tried directly from the producer during their tour.

 End of the Tour – Arrival at resorts: Embarkation in the buses and drive back to the hotels where we gathered participants earlier. Depending on traffic and on the pick-up places of each one, the time of the journey back to the hotel will differ.
